Thanks to the developer for making this available. How handy to have the Urantia Book on my iPod! Id love to see a search function added but LOVE the quotes function. Its useful to click through the quotes and then, click into the text where the quote originated for a deeper study… then back to the quotes for more. GREAT APP

Thx for making the Urantia Book into an app for iPhone/iPod. I am in the military and its great to have the UB available at my fingertips. The Urantia Book teaches that all world religions have a measure of truth and does not undermine your experience or attachment with your faith. The UB will give you a better grasp of your religious heritage and increase your love for God and love for mankind exhibited in service. Highly recommend the UB if you are a truth-seeker and are looking for novel answers to origin of mankind, the cosmology of the universe, the detailed life and teachings of Jesus. Read the first five Papers as a good solid introduction and then jump to Paper 100, and beyond. This will then take you to the Life and Teachings of Jesus. Ask yourself: who or what group of human beings could have written this in its present form? Enjoy!!

I actually use this as my bible. I also have the hard copy as well as the PDF version.

Whats it about? The primary truth of the Urantia Book is that we are all brothers and sisters in the one worldwide family of God, our Heavenly Father. When I was younger, I became very disillusioned with the answers to certain cosmic mysteries given to me by my parents and the priests at the Catholic school where I attended. Among the questions I asked were those pertaining to the many inconsistencies I noticed in the bible, like if Adam and Eve were the first two human beings and Cain and Able were there first born children, when Cain slew Able, how could he go to the land of Nod and take a wife? I thought there were only four people on the planet at that time! Most of the answers I received for this and other questions was, "Its a mystery of faith." Surely, I figured, there must be answers that make sense. The Urantia Book is the only book that gave me ALL the answers I was looking for. It clearly explained where I came from, why Im here, where Im going, and MORE. In addition, the section on the life and teachings of Jesus gave me a loving affection and understanding of one of the greatest men to ever walk the earth, far beyond the meager interpretations of his teachings in the bible. If this review resonates with you, dont hesitate. Buy it now, and read it starting with anything in the table of contents that is of interest to you.

Thank you for making this application. The book stirs thought, yet one cant deny there is wisdom in these pages. Please keep this free-it is a treasure. Id like to see it also be updated for the iPad. This is great on its own, making the update to iPad would surely be appreciated.

I used the "Big Blue" app for over two years with great success, but when it was automatically updated, it no longer worked on my iPhone 2g running iOS 3 using the architecture armv6. The developer was most responsive and discovered that Apple is not allowing app developers to support this architecture any longer. In this case, happily, the Big Blue is still available, but I am concerned that Apple, now enjoying near hegemony, is becoming like GM designing obsolescence into shorter time frames for sales of increasingly ephemeral products. As I am a long time Apple enthusiast from the days when buying a Mac was a countercultural act, it appears this once young turk of this beloved computer company is now the emperor.

I have had this App on my iPad and iPhone since the original version. The latest version for the iPad is very welcome. It still has bugs, though, and the settings function appears to reset every time the App is restarted. Crashes from the settings function happen often. The contents of the book are extremely uplifting. I dont accept it as a revelation but happily accept it as a book full of wonderful spiritual insights into the history of man and especially the Gospels. If you are looking for UFOs and space aliens, look elsewhere. There are none here, contrary to previous posts. What you will find is an encyclopedia of spiritual insights into the meaning of the life of Jesus of Nazareth, the love of God, and mans place in the universe.

Just downloaded the new version for the iPad. Ive been using the iPhone version for several years to do quick reads and having the iPad version makes a great addition. Looking forward to have search added to the app.

This book requires you to own your own mind! It is awesome for those not bound by falsehood of animalistic fears. Reach beyond yourself.

The most essential book to human life. While this book can seem very complex, with an open heart and mind, the revelations within it can drastically change and elevate your life in a way that you never thought life could be. I highly recommend this book to everyone wanting to know how and why we came to be and to those who are searching for divine answers to a lot of the questions we may sometimes be afraid or not know how to ask. The journey is amazing! *on a side note, I would like to ask the developers for an upgrade on the screen size for those of us with an iPhone 5! Thanks!

No crashes or anything. Bookmark is set right and quotes and pages are perfect. Better than the book cause its in my phone.

I always enjoyed part IV on the life of Jesus. On that part of the book alone I would rate it as four stars. I am not interested in the first three parts. No matter what one thinks about the Urantia Groups description of celestial beings, one can learn a lot from the example Jesus sets as portrayed in this book.

If U want to learn the "secrets" of the Universe of Universes & why this planet (Urantia, which means "our place in the heavens"), is the "way" it is, then U have to read this book. For starters, ponder this: from the beginning of mankind (one million years ago, according to The Urantia Book) until 90 years ago (1923), mankind knew of only one galaxy, the Milky Way. Sir Edmund Hubble discovered a 2nd galaxy & named it Andromeda in 1923. Then there was a 3rd, a 4th, a 5th, etc. & he measured their movement & found the Universe was "expanding." Since then, with the advent of the Hubble telescope, do U know how many galaxies, each one a "Milky Way" in its own right, have been discovered? Try around 350 BILLION & growing! "Impossible!" U say...Google it, I say! On top of that, since the 1990s, astronomers have been discovering planets circling other stars in numbers that are mind boggling! Theres "way more" to this Universe of Universes than meets the eye! & thats where The Urantia Book comes in. It not only explains what "it is all about", but why it exists! The History of Urantia, Part III of the book, (correctly pronounced "Ooor-an-tia" but Anglicized by many to "U-ransha"), is also described in unbelievable, "out of the box" detail! Also, where we "fit" into what is called "The Local Universe"...Nebadon, is described in Part II. The Book is separated into 4 parts, Part IV describing the Life and Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, our "Local Universe" Creator Son! You will never be the "same" again!

Wonderful App. Lets you read it and has different quotes pop up as you want from all over the book. Good for little quick reads when you have a minute of two. I use daily.

The app is a blessing and I sincerely appreciate your work. The one alteration I might suggest is the ability to show/hide the actual page number in the physical book. The Paramony references these numbers and it would also make it easier to share thoughts and insights with paper readers when I’m on my iPad. Thanks again and God bless.

Only good for reading. Should be a way to highlight or make notes. A (reference) book this big should have more user friendly features, as in bible apps. There is no way to refer to points of interest. Bookmark feature only lets you tag an entire paper.

This app and the associated website, bigbluebook.org navigate better than my kindle version of the book.

If I could give this a star rating for the jibber-jabber that this book is, I would have given a 5 for creativity in hokum. Not to mention the foolish names used in this book to describe things. I felt like I was reading a Fellini version of a combination of a Doctor Seuss book mixed with "Alice in Wonderland" - but worse. As the book stands, I wish I could give it a negative star rating for rational thinking.

Every update is surprisingly beautiful but still lacks and search engine like the website.
